HORSEBACK TREKKING IN JORDAN
CLOTHES, EQUIPMENT & ACCESSORIES

Clothes:

• Cap or hat with visor + scarf for wind-blown sand
• Warm bonnet and gloves for winter.
  We strongly advise a helmet, but each rider is responsible for his own head!
• Sunglasses filtering U.V. (with a reliable strap)
• Tee shirt - sweat shirt - shirt of some kind - sweater... (warm underwear for winter)
• A furry/warm jacket (a good warm one in the winter)
• An efficient solid wind-cheater (against cutting winter winds)
• Bathing suit for swimming at Aqaba or elsewhere...
• Solid trousers trousers for riding (+ trousers for when you are not riding - warm ones in winter)
• Sandals, or mules... (for when you are not riding - this is important)
• Walking shoes (standard trainers are sufficient), or boots or half boots boots
• Mini-chaps  or chaps.

Individual equipment:

• Sea bag or bag or tough travelling bag (only one per person - MAXIMUM)
• Butt pack or similar, for personal papers and goods
• Water bottle 2 liter capacity or water bag. Plastic water bottles are always supplied
• Efficient sleeping bag (a warm one in winter!)
• Flashlight with extra batteries (attention - "flat" batteries are not available in Jordan)
• Small knife or penknife
• Toilet necessaries + towel + small personal medical kit
• Sun lotion with high index of protection and lip salve (even in winter!)
• Lighter to burn all toilet paper (infos hygiene on the spot).
• Optional : sheepskin, for the saddle.

• Insurance repatriation/hospitalization -  insurance against cancellation
